Sony unveiled the new free games for PS Plus in December and again the fans are dissatisfied. Some are particularly harsh on the games.

San Mateo, California – The time for contemplation and gifts has officially begun and Sony has once again loosely tied its generosity pants. The PlayStation company recently announced the new free games for the PS Plus subscription service, which will be available in December 2022. Although there are theoretically five games free for fans this month, some have little good for the current selection. On Twitter, people are particularly harsh on the games.

PS Plus: 5 games instead of just 3 – the fans are still pissed

What games are coming to PS Plus? The selection of free games on PS Plus in December 2022 is basically impressive. After all, the Mass Effect Legendary Edition is the complete original trilogy of sci-fi role-playing games as a remaster and Biomutant may have received mediocre reviews, but it has developed a certain cult fan base. In any case, the subscription service for PS4 and PS5 has seen much worse months.

  • Mass Effect Legendary Edition (PS4)
  • Biomutant (PS4/PS5)
  • Divine Knockout (PS4/PS5)

What are the fans saying about the games? On Twitter, however, PS Plus subscribers are often far from happy with their monthly games. Plenty of comments below PlayStation’s official announcement are once again venting their hatred for December’s new picks. From derogatory reviews like “most mid ps plus games ever” or “all three games are trash’ to flowery phrases like ‘Walmart version of Star Wars“ Everything is represented in the comments. However, users of PS Plus are rarely satisfied, many have already complained about the PS Plus games in November 2022.

PS Plus: RPG fans should get their money’s worth with the new free games

Are the games that bad? As always, it’s in the eye of the beholder. The Mass Effect trilogy has a reputation as BioWare’s magnum opus, and that’s reflected in the comments below PlayStation’s tweet as well. Many fans of the series are excited that newcomers can play the series for free on PS Plus for the first time, with other fans saying they will “probably have to start the fifth playthrough.Biomutant, meanwhile, caused a shrug when it was released, but has only recently been enriched with a PS5 upgrade.

Only with Divine Knockout fans have to put up with a pig in a poke. Smite developer Hi-Rez’s new brawler is out next week and will appear on PS Plus at the same time. What makes many subscribers suspicious is that Divine Knockout is actually free-to-play anyway, so a monthly free play appearance shouldn’t be necessary. If you believe other voices from Twitter, the brawler has already made a good impression in the closed beta.

From December 6, 2022, everyone will have to decide for themselves whether the games on PS Plus are really that hard trash, when the new games are added to the program.
