GTA Online gives you a car in December and confirms winter update

The Heist Challenge in GTA Online is done: Now players can look forward to a free car as a reward.

That was the challenge: The Heist Challenge 2022 was last run in GTA Online, which should pose a great challenge to the community: the players should bag one trillion GTA dollars in raids, and that within just seven days.

That was a decent chunk and double what the 2020 community collected for the Heist Challenge. The players already pocketed a trillion GTA dollars and unlocked a car gift – although “only” 100 billion were required.

But this year, too, the community reached the goal and successfully completed the challenge. The players not only completed the goal, but also left miles behind with 4 trillion GTA dollars, reports Rockstar.

As a result, there is now another free car for the players.

Winter update in GTA-Online brings free car and improvements

What is the free car? It is the “retro-styled Declasse Tahoma Coupe”.

All GTA Online players should be able to pick it up later this month for a limited time. However, Rockstar has not yet given an exact period of time.

What’s in the winter update?

In addition to the car, Rockstar also announced the first details for the big winter update for GTA Online.

This should bring various improvements and content. Among other things, the PS5 and Xbox Series X should get reflections with ray tracing on many surfaces – so something changes in the look.

There are also the following points:

• Faster access to your favorite iFruit contacts by customizing which contacts you want to show or hide in the interaction menu.
• You can use the Terrorbyte Benefactor to start Business Sell missions in all session types
• You can tackle Agatha’s casino story missions alone – previously you needed at least 2 players
• New vehicle purchases should appear in the garage faster
• Certain custom armored vehicles can be used in races “where appropriate,” according to Rockstar.
• Bicycles can be requested from your garage via the mechanic.

There are also other changes, such as an adjustment to the shark cards. All Shark Cards are increased in value by 20-25% when purchased in GTA Online or in a respective platform store.

In addition, further content is to come, such as new vehicles, world events and contact missions. What exactly is going on there, however, is still unknown.

When is the update coming? The exact date is still open, but it will be released “later this month”, i.e. still in December for GTA Online. But this is only the first part of the update. As Rockstar Games announced on Twitter, it is the first of several parts of the update. Whether there will be two or more is unclear.
