The Last Worker: Jüngle Corporation Christmas Trailer
The Last Worker’s Jüngle Corporation released a trailer for Christmas.
Publisher Wired Productions, writer/director Joerg Tittel and independent game studio Wolf & Wood are pleased to present a brand new holiday spot from Jüngle Corporation, the largest online retailer, ruling the increasingly automated world of The Last Worker.
After Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Meta Quest 2, the game is now also confirmed for PlayStation VR2 in 2023.
The Last Worker is a first-person narrative adventure centered on humanity’s struggle in an increasingly automated world where humans are being replaced by robots.
The game combines a handcrafted art style developed in collaboration with comics legend Mick McMahon (Judge Dredd, 2000 AD) with unique, immersive gameplay mechanics that are seamlessly woven into a narrative game like no other.
The latest trailer for The Last Worker takes viewers in true Christmas spirit through the Jüngle Fulfillment Center (JFC-1) during the most fulfilling time of year for millions of warehouse workers.
The Last Worker delivers an emotional, thought-provoking story with a diverse cast of characters played by an all-star cast including Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter, Star Trek Discovery), Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (The Meg, True Detective), Clare-Hope Ashitey ( Children of Men), David Hewlett (The Shape of Water, Oddworld New’n’Tasty), Zelda Williams (The Legend of Korra) and Tommie Earl Jenkins (Death Stranding, Wednesday).
The music for The Last Worker is by Oliver Kraus, known for his collaborations with artists such as Adele, Sia and Florence and the Machine.
Author and director Jörg Tittel said: “Like his counterparts in the real world, Mr. Jüngle also has a lot to laugh about. If only it were the fact that he’s making billions while hordes of increasingly dehumanized workers struggle to get you the superhero themed electric toothbrush head on time. Of course we couldn’t let him get all the $$$ so we made this cynical product for you. Happy capitalist ho-ho horror!”
Ryan Bousfield, creative director at Wolf & Wood, said, “You embody Kurt, a tall man with a big beard who delivers ‘gifts’ on a flying scooter. Even though you have robots instead of reindeer, it’s a testament to the immersive power of VR that such an unusual and stylized world still feels ‘real’ when you’re in it!”
The Last Worker will be released in 2023 on Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PSVR 2, Xbox Series S|X and Meta Quest 2. Players can create a wishlist today on Steam and PlayStation.
