After being revealed for the first time, it has become clear that the upcoming remake of dead space of Motivate Studio Y AE it’s going to be a pretty significant overhaul of the original game in more ways than one, and to provide a clearer look at that, IGN has uploaded a video comparing various scenes in the original and the remake.

The leap forward being made in the remake is impressive to see, with improvements and changes showing in a number of ways, including scenes having been altered, visuals looking drastically improved, and of course, leading man Isaac Clarke now. it features a voice from the start, unlike the original.

Several scenes in the video are shown early in the game that now play out a bit differently, including the scene where Isaac approaches a workbench to get the plasma cutter first. Instead of simply picking it up off the table, in the remake, Isaac now crafts it himself manually using parts he finds on the workbench.

Earlier this year, creative director Roman Campos-Oriola spoke about how the remake of dead space is inspired by resident evil 2 of 2019 in terms of how close it is to the original title.

dead space will launch on January 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. You can watch the video below.
