In the coming night (December 9th, at 1:30 a.m.) it is well known that they will rise the Game Awards 2022, and if the rumors are true, then Diablo 4 will be a topic at the pre-Christmas gaming event. If you want to absorb every new piece of information about Blizzard’s hack & slay adventure, you should shovel a lot of time now. There are several reasons for this.
Reason #1: New day, new leak
Already last month, several industry insiders claimed that Blizzard will announce the release date of Diablo 4 at the Game Awards 2022, and that we can expect an April 2023 date. At the time, however, Blizzard boss Mike Ybarra spoke up and proclaimed quite soberly that one should not believe everything that is written.
Does that also apply to the new, supposed leak? According to Twitter user Update Lumia, a well-known Xbox/Microsoft dataminer, the release of Diablo 4 is scheduled for June 5, 2023. The client is said to be 80GB in size, and Blizzard plans to offer three versions of Diablo 4 for sale (Standard, Digital Deluxe, and Ultimate). We’ll find out if this leak is real at the Game Awards.
Reason #2: New gameplay footage showcases classes, character creation, and more
But there is also official news! Noisy WoWHead Blizzard officials have released nine gameplay videos showing new scenes from Diablo 4. Features include character creation (barbarian and sorceress), barbarian and rogue dungeon gameplay, sorceress stronghold gameplay, and a tour of the main hub Kyovashad. You can also watch a prologue quest and the prologue boss. Unfortunately, since Blizzard has not yet published these videos on an official channel, we cannot embed the scenes directly in this news for you. Therefore look in this WoWHead article drop by if you want to check out the new gameplay footage.
Reason number 3: Endlessly played impressions
A select few participants were allowed to play a full week of Diablo 4 Press Review builds and watch the first act with the Barbarian, Rogue, and Sorceress classes and level up to level 25. There was also the opportunity for an interview for some participants. In the near future we will summarize the most important insights from the opening phase on buffed.
