With the Xiaomi 13 and the Oppo Find N2 Flip, two high-end smartphones are coming onto the market at the end of the year, which are intended to compete with Samsung models such as the Galaxy Z Flip 4. In addition, Motorola attacks the upper class with the Moto X40.

This year, the Chinese company Xiaomi has already launched two top models. Since July 2022, the 12S Ultra with Leica camera, which is only available in China, has been the flagship. In October it was followed by the new top model called Xiaomi 12T Pro with a camera of 200 megapixels. Already on 01.12. The Xiaomi 13 Pro was supposed to be presented, but the event was canceled shortly before the launch. The new date is December 11th, when the Xiaomi 13 Pro should finally be shown. On 15.12. Oppo and Motorola each introduce two high-end smartphones that are expected for 2023.

High-end technology at a lower price?

With the Find N2 Flip, the Chinese manufacturer Oppo wants to compete with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4. According to the rumor mill, the foldable smartphone from the BBK Group should have a larger battery than the Samsung Galaxy S22 and weigh only 233 grams. If you want to buy the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4, you have to put almost 1,159 euros on the table.

In Mexico, the legendary mobile phone brand Motorola was the number one smartphone manufacturer last year. With the Moto X40, the American company presents the top model, which will rely on the high-end SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Compared to the planned integration in the Samsung Galaxy S23, the new Motorola flagship should be offered at a lower price. Motorola now belongs to the Chinese company Lenovo, but continues to develop its smart devices in the USA. In terms of camera hardware, Motorola relies on image sensors from Sony and Samsung. So far, the top model Motorola Edge 30 Pro has cost 650 euros on Amazonwhile the Samsung Galaxy S22 with shorter battery life and a smaller display costs at least 670 euros.
