Street Fighter 6: Release date leaked in advance – thanks to the PlayStation Store

December is slowly becoming the month of leaked release dates: After the release date of Diablo 4 leaked out yesterday, Street Fighter 6 has now caught it.

So far, it was only known that Capcom’s fighting game should be released next year. Thanks to a small bug in the PlayStation Store reported by user Neoxon in the Resetera forum immediately captured in a screenshot, the exact date is now known: Street Fighter 6 is likely to be released on June 2nd, 2023.

Street Fighter 6: Summer release in three versions

The faux pas in the PlayStation Store not only revealed the release date of Street Fighter 6, but also different versions of the game. If the information is correct, you will soon be able to pre-order the fighting game in three different editions.

Default Edition:

• Street Fighter 6: PS5 and PS4 versions
• Outfit 1 Color 10 for 6 characters
• Special titles and stickers

Deluxe Edition:

• Street Fighter 6: PS5 and PS4 versions
• Outfit 1 Color 10 for 6 characters
• Special titles and stickers
• Character Pass for Year 1

Ultimate Edition:

• Street Fighter 6: PS5 and PS4 versions
• Outfit 1 Color 10 for 6 characters
• Special titles and stickers
• Year 1 Ultimate Pass

What the exact difference is between the Character Pass and the Ultimate Pass is not yet clear from the short description. However, judging by the name, the Character Pass will only include the new fighters, while Ultimate Pass owners will also receive additional bonuses. Special outfits, for example, would be conceivable.

Announcement likely at the Game Awards

Both the release date and the editions have not yet been officially confirmed. However, the announcement should not be long in coming if the entry in the PlayStation Store is true. However, this has since been removed.

Capcom may use the 2022 Game Awards stage tonight to officially announce the release date and pre-order phase of Street Fighter 6. After all, the company already has via Twitter referred to the event, but without going into detail.
