Co-Founder and Art Director Media Molecule Leaves Company

Media Molecule has announced that studio co-founder and art director Kareem Ettouney will be leaving the company.

In a statement released Friday, the developers of Dreams and LittleBigPlanet confirmed that Ettouney will be moving in early 2023.

“Since day one, Kareem has been instrumental in defining the look, feel, and indeed the very spirit of who we are and what we do at Media Molecule. We will be forever grateful for all he has done for us and our community.”the study said.

“It wouldn’t feel right for Kareem to leave without a personal goodbye to the community, so we’ll be going live with him on January 17, 2023. We’ll take a look back at his time at Media Molecule and revisit some of his personal Dreams highlights.” .

Ettouney co-founded Media Molecule in 2006 with, among others, Creative Director Mark Healey and Technical Directors Alex Evans and Dave Smith, who previously worked together at Lionhead.
