In The Lords of the Fallen you will explore a world more than five times the size of its predecessor.

Developers HEXWORKS (a CI Games studio) revealed a first look at gameplay for AAA dark fantasy action RPG The Lords of the Fallen at The Game Awards 2022.

That from the Unreal Engine 5 developed reboot of the 2014 game Lords of the Fallen will be released next year for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Voiced by Milly Alcock, rising star of HBO fantasy series House of the Dragon, the teaser trailer was recorded entirely in-game and offers a first glimpse into the dark fantasy world of HEXWORKS, exclusive to PC and consoles in the new generation is developed.

Set more than a thousand years after the events of the first game, The Lords of the Fallen takes players on an all-new adventure in a vast and sprawling world, split at its core between the realms of the living and the dead.

In this expansive RPG experience, players must travel back and forth between the two fully interconnected worlds, each offering their own unique paths, side quests, NPCs, enemies, and treasure.

The trailer only hints at a fraction of the grueling journey that lies ahead for fans as they explore the vertical world that more than five times as big is like that of its predecessor. They must master fast-paced combat using a wide array of weaponry and powerful magic while blazing a bloody path through demonic hordes, undead horrors, and massive bosses. The title also features seamless online multiplayer for players who prefer to fight side-by-side.

Hexworks is led by Executive Producer Saul Gascon (Dead by Daylight, PayDay 2) and Creative Director Cezar Virtosu (Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Assassin’s Creed: Origins). Founded in 2020, they lead a global team of over 75 in-house developers and a network of external partners working together to create a new dark vision for the shared worlds of The Lords of the Fallen.

Developed from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, the title is designed exclusively for next-gen consoles and PC.
