Tekken 7 Has Recorded Over 10 Million Sales Confirms Bandai Namco
Tekken 8 was announced earlier in the year and showed off its first proper gameplay at The Game Awards, so clearly, fans of the series have a lot to be excited about in the near future.
But that doesn’t stop there as Tekken 7 is still going strong, almost eight years after its release, and continues to sell well even now.
The director of the series, Katsuhiro Harada, recently posted on twitter that Bandai Namco’s fighter has now sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, up from the 9 million figure reported in June. Additionally, total sales of the Tekken franchise have now surpassed 54 million units worldwide, up from 53 million units.
The gameplay demo mainly focused on the game’s story, while also introducing several familiar characters, such as Kazuya Mishima, Jun Kazama, Law, Lars, Paul, King, and Jack-8. The game is being developed for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC running Unreal Engine 5.
