Diablo 4: Collector’s Edition only appears without the game

It has been known since Friday: Diablo 4 will be released next year, if nothing else goes wrong, and even in three digital versions. Alternatively, a Collector’s Edition is also available, but it is missing an elementary component.

The physical Collector’s Edition of Diablo 4 comes without a game. The collector’s edition consists exclusively of various items that you can use to decorate your home. The action role-playing game itself is not included – neither in a physical nor digital version.

Diablo 4: Price and Content of the Collector’s Edition

While the digital versions of Diablo 4 are already available for pre-order, the pre-order for the Collector’s Edition doesn’t start until December 15th. It will be the special version according to current planning only in Blizzard Gear Store give.

If you want to purchase the Collector’s Edition without the game, you can then look forward to the following content:

• Candle of Creation: An (electronic) red candle
• Cloth Map of Sanctuary: A very chic map, but it doesn’t do justice to the name of the whole of Saktuario, but only the game world of Diablo 4
• art book: An artbook containing various concept art and artwork related to Diablo 4
• Occult Mouse Pad: A small, black mouse pad, which is provided with a kind of pentagram
• Horadrim Collection Pin: A pin depicting the mark of the Horadric
• 2 matted art prints: Artworks that are 47cm x 27.4cm

There is no official euro price for the Collector’s Edition yet. In the USA it should cost 97 US dollars, which corresponds to around 92 euros.

It gets more expensive with the game

In view of many other Collector’s Editions, the Diablo 4 Edition seems quite cheap at first – however, the game is not included. However, you have to purchase this separately, and you are spoiled for choice.

Overall, Blizzard offers Diablo 4 in three different digital versions. Depending on the platform, the standard edition costs 70 (PC) or 80 euros (consoles). The Digital Deluxe Edition even costs 90 (PC) or 100 euros (consoles), while the so-called Ultimate Edition is ten euros more expensive.

Depending on which version you choose, the Collector’s Edition with the game will cost between 160 and 200 euros in the end – and thus at about the same level as common Collector’s Editions.

However, it will still be a while before the release. Diablo 4 will be released on June 6, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S. Those who pre-order the Digital Deluxe or the Ultimate Edition can also start four days earlier.
