PCGHX: Community review of the Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Hero - flagship for AMD's new AM5 socket

from Maximilian Hohm
Our moderator McZonk has published an extensive review of the new Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Hero in the PCGHX forum. He goes into the strengths and weaknesses, the special features and features as well as the performance of the high-end board.

Our PCGHX forum is filled with enthusiasts and many dedicated hardware enthusiasts who enjoy working with and testing new hardware. So did our moderator McZonk, who conducted an extensive test of the new Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Hero. This is a must for all ROG fans and those interested in AM5. He proceeds in a very structured and detailed manner and first of all presents the mainboard as what it is. An absolute high-end board with the latest and largest chipset available for the AM5 platform to date.

He then shows not only in the smallest detail what a potential buyer will receive in terms of scope of delivery, but also the most precise dimensions of the board in various places, which you will not find anywhere else and which can help to check compatibility with extreme cooling solutions in advance . The features of the board are shown in much more detail than the manufacturer does and, in addition to connectivity diagrams with the connection for expansion cards, McZonk also highlights the many clever features of the mainboard that make it stand out from the crowd.

Video of the Z790 buyer’s guide: why the Z790 isn’t worth it

The test does not end with equipment, impressions and some benchmarks, which would have been a great gesture to the community, but also includes the construction of the UEFI to an extent that even inexperienced users can easily benefit from it. The benchmarks test important day-to-day functions and parameters, including boot time, power consumption and temperatures. All of this is graphically processed and the results critically reflected, so that it is understandable why the Crosshair X670E Hero performs so well.

Finally, a conclusion will be drawn, where the strengths and weaknesses of the high-end mainboard will be discussed, but we don’t want to anticipate too much and recommend you to use the complex test our moderator yourself here on the PCGHX forums and form your own take on Asus’ new ROG Crosshair X670E Hero.
