Xiaomi Mini PC: Xiaomi already has its own Mac Mini with an Intel heart and a very compact format
Xiaomi is not new to computers, much less peripherals, but today the Chinese firm it has fully entered desktop computers with the release of xiaomi mini pc (or Computer Mini, as its name seems to be literally translated from Chinese).
The device has been announced alongside the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi Watch S2 and other products seen at Sunday’s event, which means that, at least for now and until further notice, it stays in its native country. We will update this article in the event that Xiaomi decides to launch this peculiar mini computer in the global market.

Small, light and with Intel under the arm
What is most striking about this device is its size and weight. The Xiaomi Mini PC is just 38 millimeters thick, made of aluminum and weighs 437 grams. In other words, it is more compact than the Mac Mini (although two millimeters thicker) and significantly lighter, since the Apple model weighed 1.2 kilos.
It is an elegant device at first glance, with two USB ports, a jack socket and the power button on the front and the rest of the ports (such as two USB-C Thunderbolt 4 and two HDMI 2.1) on the back. Also in the back, as well as on the sides we have the ventilation grills.
For its construction, Xiaomi has opted for Intel and its NUC platform, implementing a 12th Generation Intel Core i5-1240P, an Intel Iris Xe graphics and 16 GB of RAM expandable to 64 GB, as well as 512 GB of storage. According to Xiaomi, the TDP of this device is 40W.
It is not a device that we can use to play at the highest level, but it will be more than enough for productivity and teleworking tasks, which is really what it is designed for. The operating system, by the way, is Windows 11 Home and its wireless connectivity leaves no stone unturned: WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.3 and Gigabit Ethernet.
Versions and price of the Xiaomi Mini PC
The xiaomi mini pc has been announced in China and will stay there until further notice. It is only available in one version and its price is 3,699 yuan, which in exchange is 503 euros to change.
