Square Enix has announced that Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is already available, being the new improved version of the title released for PSP. The game serves as a prequel to Final Fantasy VII and puts us in the shoes of Zack Fair, a young member of Shinra’s organization, SOLDIER.

After a routine mission in which he must search for a missing colleague, Zack discovers the origin of the disappearance that goes far beyond a conspiracy. As a remaster, this new version features improved HD graphics for character models, a new interface, and other quality-of-life improvements.

The combat system has been updated with improvements to the OMD (Digital Mental Wave) system that makes it similar to FFVII Remake. In addition, the soundtrack has been reworked and features new versions for the soundtrack themes composed by Takeharu Ishimoto.
