It will be almost two months before fans can plunge back into the Harry Potter universe in Hogwarts Legacy – at least on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. As developer Avalanche Software has now announced, we’ll have to wait even longer for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions. At least we now know when the release for Switch is.

Hogwarts Legacy is moving to PS4 and Xbox One

As the developers announced via Twitter, the Last Gen version will be delayed by around two more months. They did not give a reason for the postponement. Accordingly, we can only speculate whether the performance on the older console generations still needs some fine-tuning.

Switch release finally announced

Switch players, on the other hand, get better news. So far it has only been said that a release date will be announced at a later date, now we know for sure. The release for the handheld awaits us almost five months later:

By the way, if you have a current gen console, you don’t have to worry. On PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, Hogwarts Legacy will be released as planned on February 10, 2023. If you have pre-ordered the Deluxe or Collector’s Edition, you can even get access to the game from February 7th.

But everyone else doesn’t have to wait too long for new content either. Already tomorrow, December 14th, there will be a new gameplay showcase. You can read here when the Hogwarts Legacy Stream will start and what we can expect there.
