World Of WarCraft: Dragonflight: Free Battle Pass In WoW? How the new trading post works

With the new trading post that Blizzard is now introducing for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, a system comes into the game that may be reminiscent of a Battle Pass.

This is a brand new feature that comes with monthly recurring quests and a bunch of cool cosmetic rewards. The developers explain how the trading post in WoW: Dragonflight should work in the course of a detailed blog post.

First of all: The trading post will not cost you a cent more if you already have a subscription to World of Warcraft. And like many other games, such as Fall Guys, you can unlock the purely visual upgrades just by playing. So it’s not about equipment that increases the power of your character in any way, but about mounts and outfits with which you can provide even more variety on the Dragon Islands.

The popular Battle Pets should also be given as a reward for completing various tasks that the trading post sets for you. He can be found in the two capitals of the Alliance and the Horde: In Stormwind, near the Mage District and in Orgrimmar, right in the middle of the Grommash Fortress.

The Trading Post’s offering changes with each new month in Dragonflight, so keen collectors should hurry up. However, Blizzard explains that the outfits, pets and mounts offered can rotate back in later. That way, if something slips through your fingers, you don’t have to worry about missing your chance once and for all.

Earning trader currency made easy

So that you also know how to get to the content of the trading post, Blizzard has included a corresponding explanation of the new system in WoW: Dragonflight. Like in Blizzard’s card game adaptation Hearthstone, you earn a new currency by completing tasks such as reviving a player or similarly simple mini-challenges.

At the beginning of each month, you can top up your Trading Post account with 500 Merchant Currencies by collecting them directly. If you then face the challenges of the new travel diary, there are up to 500 merchant currencies on top.

The cosmetic content will then cost you between 100 and 900 dealer currencies at the relevant dealer, as a first picture in Blizzard’s blog reveals. Each player is credited with the same number of divises and you can pick them up, as well as the first 500 of the new month, in the box at the trading post.

We don’t yet know when the new World of Warcraft: Dragonflight system will leave the PTR and go live. Collectors have until tonight to claim the Cenarion Cub and Windsteed for free via Twitch for Dragonflight.
