Rockstar posts confusing teaser and GTA 6 fans feel trolled

Die Entwicklung von GTA 6 schreitet nun wohl noch schneller voran.

Not everything Rockstar Games releases is related to GTA 6.

Some die-hard GTA 6 fans were bitterly disappointed: Rockstar Games posted a short logo video on Twitter that was colorful and animated – completely without a caption. But it wasn’t a hint of GTA 6 or a teaser for the upcoming game, as many had directly hoped. Instead, the whole thing is just advertising for GTA Online and its new update Los Santos Drug Wars.

GTA Online teaser held for GTA 6 hint by desperate fans

People who are longingly waiting for GTA 6 don’t have it easy: They’ve been waiting for the next game in the series for a long time and will probably have to be patient for quite a while. But because GTA 6 is one of the most anticipated games, everything Rockstar does is immediately associated with it – often to no avail.

No GTA 6, GTA Online! However, the freshly released, colorful and psychedelic logo video here is definitely not a teaser for the upcoming main game. Even if many fans probably wished for that directly. Instead, we are dealing with a reference to the new possibilities in GTA Online.

In Los Santos Drug Wars we can prepare LSD and distribute it to the people. Along with the nervous Ron, who you’ll surely recognize from GTA 5 if you’ve played it. Some neo-hippies and bikers find that only mediocre and the drug war is over. But we digress. Anyway: LSD can produce very colorful hallucinations – like here in this psychedelic video.

A bit unfortunate is the whole thing because the video was published on Twitter without any comment. The same posting on YouTube has been updated with a more appropriate reference to the GTA Online Los Santos Drug Wars update and hasn’t caused any misunderstandings.

GTA fans take it personally: Meanwhile, some particularly impatient GTA fans seem to think Rockstar owes them something. At least that could serve as an explanation for the sour reactions to the tweet. Some people seem to be downright trolled, but we can almost certainly assume that wasn’t intentional.
