Amazon plans film project for “Warhammer 40,000”
After an agreement with the games company Games Workshop Group, the tech giant Amazon wants to film the popular fantasy game “Warhammer 40,000”.
The British company, which makes role-playing games with characters, said on Friday that Amazon could use the game’s idea and intellectual property for film and television productions. In addition, Amazon merchandising rights would be granted. Financial details were not given. Amazon initially did not comment. According to media reports, actor Henry Cavill, who has played “Superman” several times, could play a leading role. He had announced the day before that he would no longer be in the Superman films.
