Dead Space Remake reaches Gold status
The time has finally come: The long-awaited remake of Dead Space has now reached gold status. The new edition of the sci-fi horror classic will be released for PC, Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at the end of January 2023.
The new year is just around the corner and 2023 seems to start just as well as 2022 ends: the development of the Dead Space Remake has been completed, the title has now reached gold status. EA Motive Studios, which is responsible for the new edition, recently announced this via Twitter. The Canadian development team calls January 27th the release date.
As die-hard gamers know, reaching Gold status means that basic development has been completed and the program code is now being packaged to disk or ready for release on digital sales platforms such as Steam can be prepared. All subsequent changes such as optimizations and bug fixes then appear as day-one patches.
The remake of the 2008 sci-fi horror classic promises to be an exciting game. Although EA Motive Studios tries to stay as close as possible to the original template, it introduces some interesting innovations: Isaac Clarke, the game’s protagonist, is no longer mute as in the original game, but fully voiced. Dead Space (2023) sounds artistically exciting
without a single camera cut. This has already provided more immersion in the God of War reboot from 2018 and its successor Ragnarök. In addition to the complete graphical overhaul, players can expect new side quests, improvements to the controls and the complete lack of loading screens within the USG Ishimura. Also interesting: Dead Space Remake: developers talk about changes to the story
