Vampire Survivors: More free content updates confirmed
Also available on Xbox Game Pass, Vampire Survivors will receive more free content updates.
This week, Vampire Survivors received its first DLC, Legacy of the Moonspell. This expands the game by 8 new characters, 13 new weapons and a huge new stage.
As developer Poncle Games has now confirmed, there will also be further free updates with new content for the roguelite action-adventure.
“DLCs will always just be additional content in the form of stages, monsters, weapons, characters, etc. Items, power-ups, gameplay mechanics and more will continue to be added to the base game, so don’t worry about missing out if you don’t purchase the DLC.”
About the fair pricing of the DLC, which only costs 1.99 euros, the developer said: “The community is very friendly as always and we get a lot of comments of this kind, some meant as a compliment, some seriously. I’m very grateful for that, but just like the main game, the DLC has a price that feels ‘right’ to me and reflects its production value.”
“For the DLC I still had to fill in some gaps, for example using asset packs, so a low price and frequent discounts just seem fair to me.”
The artists who worked on the DLC also received praise: “For the last few months and the DLC, we’ve had great artists like Faithr Kotaki and Pitavant for the new graphics; Daniele Zandara and his new hits with live recordings; the little surprise in the DLC trailer; and an entire company that we support to be able to launch on all current platforms. Still, Poncle still needs time (and important people!) to reach higher production value.”
The Vampire Survivors base game is also included with Xbox Game Pass.
