God of Rock: More details and gameplay on the musical fighting game

Activision Blizzard: Phil Spencer pleased with acquisition progress

There are more musical details and gameplay for the rhythm fighting game God of Rock.

Next year, Xbox players embark on a world tour to defeat the most talented musicians in the universe in the rhythmic battle of God of Rock.

Get a glimpse of the musical battles and devastating combos in the new rhythmic gameplay video.

In God of Rock you face the greatest talents in the universe and try to defeat them with your beats of righteousness. However, the actual battle will be decided by the mechanics as you unleash attacks following the on-screen prompts. Your ability to react will be tested as the life bar drops and the beats get faster and faster. In order to win, the opponent must lose his groove. Special and ultra attacks, which can also be seen below in the overview trailer, turn out to be helpful.

In the musical battle, you have 12 unique characters to choose from, each with their own fighting style and special abilities. The battles continue to be fought across eight stages featuring over 40 original rock tracks. By choosing your character and stage, the gameplay changes every time, giving you a fresh experience.

With songs ranging from Celtic rock to punk and symphonic rock, the setlist curated by indie composers is varied. Creative musicians can also try their hand at composing their own battle diagram in the Beat Builder game mode.

In a second trailer, Modus Games introduces the character Ziggy and his abilities. The spaceman comes from a small moon where everyone wears gray suits and where rock was banned long ago.
