The Witcher 3 next-gen update: CDPR confirms new feature
The Witcher fan Neon Knight first discovered this innovation and published a short video of the new feature via Twitter. PCGamer contacted CD Projekt developers directly, who confirmed that it is indeed a new and official addition to the update. Radek Grabowski, CD Projekt’s Global PR Director, also shared a clip of his own of Geralt’s new option. In it you can see how the horse Roach even lifts his leg as a happy reaction.
As previously mentioned, the new petting feature was not included in the patch notes. That’s why it probably comes as a surprise to most players. However, there is no in-game prompt for this within the game either. If a player wants to pet Roach, press and hold the jump button while approaching Roach.
Meanwhile, anyone who is worried about the state of the next-gen update for The Witcher 3 because the new patch for the PC also produces different new errors will have to be patient a little longer. CDPR has confirmed to PCGamer that they are aware of the new issues and will provide an update on specific issues as soon as possible.
