According to the latest estimates, the Xbox Series X|S has reached the milestone of 20 million units sold.

How out estimates from VGChartz reports, the Xbox Series X|S sold 591,167 units between November 27 and December 3, bringing the total number of consoles sold to 20.26 million.

In the said period, however, the Microsoft console was only enough for 3rd place behind Sony’s PlayStation 5 (698,791) and Nintendo Switch (932,599). The PlayStation 5 thus stands at a total of 28.26 million units sold, the Nintendo Switch at 118.20 million total sales.

Compared to the same period of the previous generation of consoles in 2015, Xbox Series X|S sales increased by 97,000 units, while PlayStation 5 sales fell by 95,000 units.

Comparing the same week last year, Xbox Series X|S sales are up 63.4 percent. The PlayStation 5 can look forward to an increase in sales of 121.6 percent, the Nintendo Switch recorded a minus of 13.7 percent.

It is estimated that the Xbox Series X|S sold approximately 8.99 million units, the PlayStation 5 11.26 million units and the Nintendo Switch 16.49 million units throughout 2022.

The Xbox Series X|S has reached the milestone of 20 million units worldwide 24 months after launch, which is 10 months ahead of the Xbox 360, which took 34 months to reach it.
