Community begs: Don’t cast Tom Holland for God of War
God of War became one of Sony’s most popular flagship games when it was rebooted in 2016. This year saw the continuation and thus the conclusion of the story about Kratos and his son Atreus God of War: Ragnarok.
There was a lot of hype about it, so it is not surprising that under SonyPictures and PlayStation Productions for Amazon Prime Video a live action series was ordered for this.
the The cast has not yet been determined, but of course speculation is already circulating on the Internet. One of them is that Tom Holland could play Kratoswhich many fans don’t like at all.
God of War series aims to be true to the original and compelling
According to Amazon’s Head of Television, Vernon Sanders, the series adaptation “both incredibly faithful to the original and convincing in itself” be. There are also WWE superstars like Triple H and Bill Goldberg, as well as ex-Superman actor Henry Cavill. There were also calls for Tom Holland, who has played PlayStation characters in the past like Spider Man and Nathan Drake represented.
Fans don’t want Tom Holland as Kratos
The possibility of Tom Holland playing the axe-wielding godslayer has left some fans uneasy. There was even a call to Sony on the r/GodofWar page on Reddit:
“Sony, please, don’t cast Tom Holland.”
There was also an illustrated list of his previous Sony roles and a photoshopped version of himself in which he was bald, had a beard and had a Kratos face tattoo. You can see the post about it here:
Under the post, some fans are suggesting casting Holland as Atreus instead of Kratos. It remains to be seen whether fans’ fears are justified in this regard. No official news about the cast has been released yet, so the previous assumptions are pure speculation.
