Container campers cause deadly traffic jams in CoD MW2 – “Get out there and fight the damn enemies”
On the smallest map of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, players almost step on each other’s toes, the playing field is so tiny. But what should really only be meant literally is a harsh and frustrating reality on the latest version of Shipment.
A good six weeks after the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, one of the most popular old CoD maps came into play with the mid-season: Shipment.
A small map with little space, but a lot of character. A visit brings a lot of action, weapon levels and often leads to a slight feeling of dizziness.
However, a controversial feature causes it to accumulate in CoD MW2 on Shipment. There are deadly blockades from which one can hardly save oneself and many a player has had enough of the container traffic jam.
Mid-Season 1 not only brought Shipment, but also the first PvE raid in CoD history. We show you the trailer here:
CoD MW2: Shipment – Death Trap Camper Container
You know it: The spawn system ensures 4 quick deaths every second and you want to start thundering immediately to compensate for the small flaw in the statistics. That’s what Shipment is celebrated for.
The spawn then spits you into this one container, in which several team members also like to spawn at the same time. It doesn’t matter though – Tactical Sprint is already activated to sprint out of cover at full throttle and target the nearest enemy.
But it could happen that you don’t get very far. On Shipment, the collision between the players is currently causing stress, because it can get nasty blocked:
Campers sit at the front of the container, taking advantage of the cover and good field of view there to farm kills. However, it can happen that team members cannot leave the container. chemicalxbonex demands: “Go out and fight the damn opponents”.
Especially when the campers are out and about with the emergency shields – but the shield is a completely different topic on Shipment.
In addition, the spawn chance of a team member in the container is significantly higher if someone is standing in front. Some players are asking to stay completely away from that position up front:
In both linked Reddit threads, the mood is rather rough. The players rock each other up, find the problem unnecessary and criticize the developers for this design decision.
This is also because this problem existed earlier on Shipment and in CoD MW 2019. At that time, the player collision was reworked, even almost completely removed. So it’s quite possible that the developers are still working on this.
The container is not only annoying, but also deadly – especially due to the drill grenades that are new with CoD MW2. An enemy grenade is enough to clear the jam.
However, even without full containers, the drill grenades have a healing effect against campers. Here are a few tips for strong gadgets: My favorite gadget in CoD MW2 is a nasty camper fright – 3 tips for use
