Goat Simulator 3 uses material from GTA 6 leak, Take-Two is really angry
The developers at Coffee Stain Studios are best known for their offbeat humor. They recently did that with the release of Goat simulator 3 prove again. This week, however, one of her ideas turned out to be powerful aggravation taken care of. For a promotional video, the studio has material from the Leaked from GTA 6 used some time ago. And those responsible at Take-Two didn’t think that was cool at all. A few hours later the video was back offline.
What was in the commercial?
The focus of advertising for Goat Simulator 3 (buy now ) stood up NPC called shaun. In an interview with the press, Shaun says that he will be involved in other projects. And one title has even been leaked. So that’s natural GTA 6 meant. Immediately after that sentence, there was b-roll footage from the leak at the time. NPC Shaun was included in the video to give the impression that he is part of this “mystery game”. But Take-Two has that copyright asserted and the fun quickly ended.
Smart marketing move?
It’s hard to imagine that the marketing department at Coffee Stain Studios wasn’t aware of which ones consequences this commercial might have. However, the video was released anyway. Perhaps also because the team speculated to a certain extent that the video would generate media coverage. Whether the number was actually planned or not – it definitely attracted attention.
