Grim Guardians: Demon Purge is a new game inspired by Symphony of the Night

The developer and publisher Inti Creates has announced that its next side-scrolling action game Grim Guardians: Demon Purge is coming to PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on February 23. The studio has also released a release date trailer to accompany the announcement.

In the trailer you can appreciate some of the fast-paced gameplay that is very reminiscent of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, including their environments. Both playable characters are shown with their weapons and unique demon-hunting abilities.

Grim Guardians: Demon Purge puts players in the shoes of the Kamizono sisters, with one using ranged attacks with her SMG and the other using her sword for melee combat. Players will be able to make use of the unique abilities of both sisters to get through the various levels of the game.

The game also features 2-player co-op, and is set to have extensive difficulty options through what the studio calls the Style system. It also promotes replayability through unique changes.
