Hogwarts Legacy: Previews give first impressions of the game before release
If you can’t wait until February 10th (or February 7th with early access), you can now watch previews of Hogwarts Legacy on YouTube and get a first impression of the game. If you want to stay free of spoilers, you should probably stay away from the previews or completely from the Internet if you want to be on the safe side. The colleagues from PC Games were also allowed to play Hogwarts Legacy in Hamburg and have both their experiences written as well as in the video (embedded here in the article).
Hogwarts Legacy Previews: Lots to do in the open world
The focus is, among other things, on the open world, which is particularly fascinating for Potterheads and can be explored with a broom in peace of mind. For example, you could fly freely over Hogwarts Castle and the surrounding lands. The players in Hogwarts Legacy come across well before that a character editor that seems to set no limits to the design wishes of each player, so extensive are the options that are available to choose from.
The fights and the combat system, which can be seen in the various previews on YouTube, are also impressive. Accio can be used to pull enemies towards you and Protego can be used to fend off enemy spells, which of course is nothing new for Potterheads. The controls and camera work, at least in the Playstation 5 version, are said to be less successful. The former is a bit tricky, in the air and on land, climbing proves to be a feat of strength and the camera moves rather sluggishly.
Ultimately, however, Hogwarts Legacy presents itself as an ordinary open-world action-adventure, just with a Hogwarts setting, which fans of the Wizarding World will surely appreciate. In any case, the players are promised up to 100 hours of playing time if they exhaust all the existing options that the developers offer the players.
