The Day Before: Steam page gone, release no longer likely
Actually, the survival MMO The Day Before on March 1, 2023 appear for the PC. But the release seems now anything but safebecause recently prevails above all big mess. It all started with that suddenly The Day Before Steam website disappeared or blocked by Valve. But what was the trigger? We bring some light into the darkness.
Trademark problems, release at risk?
Shortly after Valve launched the survival MMO The Day BeforeRemoved from Steam listing and had blocked the relevant pages, das the responsible development studio Fntastic word to an opinion to deliver. Accordingly, there is currently supposedly one trademark issue around the name of the game that caught the team off guard. As a first consequence it will a postponement of the release date give: According to current plans, The Day Before on November 10, 2023 to appear. The statement states:
“Just before the release, Steam blocked our game page at the request of a private individual. The reason given was the name The Day Before. As you all know, we announced the game in January 2021. At the time of the announcement, the game trademark was The Day Before available After the game was announced, the aforementioned individual before us had filled out an application to register the trademark for The Day Before in the US (…) Ultimately, we made the difficult decision to launch on the To be rescheduled to November 10, 2023. We know this may disappoint many of our fans, but we want to make sure we’re releasing the best game possible.”
By the way, not only the actual release of the game is affected by the chaos, but also the Release of a new trailer. Actually, the developers wanted this month an extensive gameplay video with game scenes from The Day Before. This is also not possible under the current circumstances.
