Uncharted 5 could be shown in a recent announcement about PS5
This morning Sony released a new PS5 ad and within these few second scenes you could see what appears to be the new Uncharted 5.
This announcement highlights new releases like God of War Ragnarok and Gran Turismo 7. That being said, there seems to be a scene that highlights Uncharted, but not just any Uncharted, but rather the next installment.
At the end of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, it is heavily teased and hinted that Nathan Drake’s daughter will be the lead of the series going forward, if it were to continue, with Nathan Drake finally settling in and retired from killing 15,000 people in the search for hidden treasures and lost cities.
This detail is important because there’s a part of the aforementioned trailer that looks like an Uncharted textbook, but it’s not a Nathan Drake-looking character, but a young woman.
You can then view the ad itself and the specific scene in question. There is also a separate related scene where the woman blows dust from the artifact.
All the shots in the trailer are immediately recognizable, except for this one. In other words, you can pin any other shot to a recently released game, except this one, which suggests it’s a tease for a future, unannounced game.
To this end, the scene looks like a textbook Uncharted minus Nathan Drake, but as noted, if the series continues, it’s unlikely Nathan Drake will star as him, so it makes sense.
