The M4 is an iconic CoD weapon, and is a standout pick once again in Warzone 2 thanks to its low recoil and powerful TTK. With this in mind, we’ve created the best M4 loadout in Warzone 2, complete with meta attachments and perks.

Warzone 2 is well underway and now that the Season 1 Reloaded major patch has settled, players have their eyes firmly set on the upcoming Season 2 update.

Despite this, success in Warzone 2 comes down to choosing the right weapon, and the M4 has already secured itself a prominent place in the metagame. The Classic Assault Rifle is one of the best weapons in Modern Warfare 2 and has quickly taken over Warzone 2’s Al Mazrah as well.

With top-notch TTK, a manageable recoil pattern, and solid damage range, you can’t go wrong with the M4 as your go-to AR in WZ2.

The best equipment of M4 Warzone 2

• Muzzle: without echo-80

We start our best M4 loadout with the Echoless-80 muzzle, which improves the speed of the weapon’s bullet and at the same time prevents you from firing on the enemies’ minimap. So we went for the Hightower Barrel 20″for another boost to bullet speed, as well as overall damage range.

The optics are mostly down to personal preference, but we like the Cronen Mini Pro as it offers great precision without consuming the entire screen. In the Underbarrel slot, we recommend the FSS Sharkfin 90which drastically improves recoil control to turn the M4 into a mid-range laser, ideal for the open spaces of Al Mazrah.

Lastly, if you’re playing Warzone 2 in squads, you’ll need enough ammo to take down multiple enemies without reloading. That is why we have chosen the 60 round magazines to help you dispatch as many of the opposing team as possible before you have to switch clips.

Gear-wise, you can’t go wrong with Semtex to quickly drive a squad out of a building, along with flash grenades to disorient players before moving in for the kill.

How to unlock the M4 in Warzone 2

Luckily, the M4 is one of the weapons available early on in Warzone 2, so all you have to do is reach level 4 to unlock Gunsmith and start experimenting with loads.

Best M4 Alternatives in Warzone 2

It can take some time to find the perfect weapon in Warzone 2, so if the M4 doesn’t work, you can switch to the TAQ-56 AR. Another powerful long-range AR, the TAQ-56 mows down enemies with its strong damage output and top-notch stability.

But if you want something a bit more mobile, the Kastov-74u might be the way to go. It is absolutely deadly and is perfectly paired with a sniper meta. While you won’t stream anyone from a distance with this trusty AR, it’s hard to beat this weapon at medium range.
