Play Hogwarts Legacy three days before release: You should know that about Early Access

Hogwarts Legacy will soon show us the magic school more than 100 years before the events of Harry Potter.

On February 10th, the time has finally come when the famous magic school in Hogwarts Legacy opens its doors first on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. In the new game we experience the magical world many decades before the events of Harry, Ron and Hermione. If you want to play the action role-playing game a few days before the release, this is possible thanks to an early access phase. We’ll tell you how it works and why you should perhaps be patient a little longer.

Information about the early access phase

As we often experience with games from EA, publisher Warner also offers early access for pre-orders, with which you can play Hogwarts Legacy three days in advance.

When does the Early Access phase start? It starts on all three platforms on February 7th.

Is there a time limit? You can’t expect a time-limited trial version. The full game will be playable from Tuesday next week.

How do you get access? In order to gain early access, however, you must purchase a Collector’s Edition (299 euros) or Deluxe Edition (84.99 euros), which also gives you an exclusive mission on PS5. All information about pre-ordering both editions can be found here:

Before you pre-order

If you are thinking about pre-ordering Hogwarts Legacy, here is the information that there are still a few question marks about the quality of the game. Among other things, we weren’t able to collect any impressions from the open world during the game event, which is usually not a good sign for such a game so shortly before release. The technology on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S is still a big unknown.
