SpongeBob SquarePants Cosmic Shake: Game Ratings – Better Than Ever?
With the release of SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake for the PC, the Nintendo Switch, the Playstation 4 and the Xbox One, the ratings of the press are emerging bit by bit. For example, you can find a detailed review of the new Jump-n-Run in Bikini Bottom on our website. But how does The Cosmic Shake do on average in the press?
How well is Spongebob Squarepants: The Cosmic Shake doing?
If you look at the ratings of the game on Metacritic, the platformer from Purple Lamp Games is doing well at first. After all, the Metascore, i.e. the average value of the press, is currently solid for the Switch version 73 out of 100 possible points. However, it must be said that at the time of this news only twelve ratings were entered for the game. For comparison: The switch version of the remake currently has a meta score of 66 points, based on 21 ratings.
In addition, the meta scores of both games are between 65 and 75 points on all platforms. The fact that The Cosmic Shake is obviously not an innovative Jump’n’Run runs like a red thread through the reviews, despite the numerical differences. Accordingly, gameplay and level design are considered solid, but by no means outstanding.
At the same time, the title is almost never classified as catastrophic. Again and again the charm of the game is praised. So not only the solid gameplay, but especially the staging knew how to convince. Here you can see an overview of some ratings.
