YouTuber Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson was surprised his new video “1,000 Blind People See For The First Time” has received over 50 million views within a short period of time. In the video, he pays 1,000 people for life-changing eye surgery, who were then able to see again without restrictions. The high number of views is also due to the fact that the subject of the video on social media was not only celebrated, but was also often criticized.
Critics accuse the YouTuber to produce these actions purely from a financial point of view. MrBeast responds to criticism and asks the presidential question again
The YouTuber received a lot of criticism, especially on Twitter. In his tweet, he reveals the hypocrisy of Twitter critics.
Twitter – Rich people should help others with their money
Me – Okay, I’ll use my money to help people and I promise to give away all my money before I die. Every single penny.
Twitter – MrBeast bad
According to the debaters on Twitter, rich people like him should do exactly what he did in his video. Nevertheless, he is put down by Twitter users for it. MrBeast doesn’t take the criticism seriously. According to his own statements, his goal is simply to do as much good as possible with his YouTube money and then to run as President of the United States.
As soon as he turns 40, the now 24-year-old wants to become US President. By then, the money earned should have been spent down to the last cent and benefit charitable causes. Even as president, he only wants to do good. In an interview he said: “And then [nachdem er das Geld ausgegeben hat], rather than succumbing to lobbyists or agendas, I simply do what is good for the American people. Sounds like a good idea to me.” On Twitter, he had a vote on whether he should run for president. The majority (almost 70%) voted YES.
