Sony confirms God of War Ragnarök sold 11 million copies in 3 months

God of War Ragnarök has sold approximately 11 million copies in three months, according to Sony.

Developer Santa Monica Studio announced the latest sales figures for the game on Wednesday. “We are incredibly honored that God of War Ragnarök has officially sold 11 million copies”said.

“None of this would be possible without the support of our fans, so thank you for joining us on this journey!”

God of War Ragnarök got off to a record start upon its release for PS4 and PS5 on November 9, 2022.

Sony claimed that 5.1 million copies of the game were sold in its debut week, making it the best-selling first-party title in PlayStation history.

Prior to the game’s release, Sony said that the 2018 God of War reboot was one of the biggest titles ever released exclusively for PlayStation, with 23 million sales, and that it expected a similar performance from its sequel Ragnarök.
