teasers

With a few hit releases and even more (potential) hits in February, you can really say: Games years have rarely started as strongly as 2023. We reveal here exactly what we’re looking forward to.

This content would not be financially viable without the premium users. But we urgently need more supporters: You can help too!

[FILME/SERIEN] After the third episode of the HBO series The Last of Us for me, the expectations are huge: so far, every episode has been an increase, starting from a high basic level in the first. And: The fifth and final season of Aggretsuko starts on 16.2. on Netflix.

[SPIELE/BRETTSPIELE] While I’m far from a Harry Potter fan, personal tension builds Hogwarts legacy. On too Company of Heroes 3 I’m happy. And then there is Like A Dragon – Ishin!which I will definitely and at the very least look into.

[SONSTIGES] With the PSVR2 VR glasses will enter the arena in February, which, despite their relatively fantastic price (599 euros, while the PS5 itself costs 549 euros), has a good chance of occupying a sweet spot between core gamer suitability and distribution as well as between price and quality . However, it is wired, so the wireless glasses generally appeal to me more. Of course, the software is also important. that will be available for the Playstation VR2, let’s see what will flutter into our glasses in February.

[FILME/SERIEN] I don’t have enough time for films and series at the moment. If so, then it’s the next season of Star Trek Picard, which piques my interest. Otherwise, I honestly have to pass because not much appeals to me at the moment. For all mankind has been available for a while and is primarily on my watch list after a friend infected me with it

[SPIELE/BRETTSPIELE] For a given reason (series love) has me Elder Scrolls fascinated again – I will probably spend some more private time in Tamriel in February. Besides is Industries of Titan Finally out of EarlyAccess. Fire Emblem Engage I haven’t finished yet either. Also coming in February Hogwarts legacywhich I’d like to check out, and there are two other releases on my list: Company of Heroes 3 and Pharaoh-A New Era. In addition, it remains to be seen whether our oracle round was correct and in February Sons of the Forest is published. So I won’t get bored in February, which is already short anyway!

[SONSTIGES] A lot of games are already happening in February, but I’m still trying to dig out time that’s reserved for me. There’s more role-playing on the agenda again, and we’re finally getting to know how our game at the Vampire Game Jam cut off.

[FILME/SERIEN] My body is ready for season 5 of Aggretsuko. The series offers the most wonderful mixture of cartoon weakness, all too human problems of his animal office job assemble and metal disstracks. In the Guilty Pleasure category falls the yet to be seen second season of Record of Ragnarok. The gods want to herald the end of the world, but humans have a chance to avert it by letting their champions defeat the immortals in arena combat. After Thor vs Lu, Zeus vs Adam and Poseidon vs Sasaki, the next thing is Hercules vs Jack the Ripper, which will certainly accompany the secondary characters with plenty of face circus. In short: Record of Ragnarök is pretty stupid.

[SPIELE/BRETTSPIELE] I’ve been intrigued by the idea of one for a long time yakuza in the samurai era, but unfortunately the original spin-off never made it to the West and thus failed for me due to the language barrier. I am all the more pleased that the new edition Like a Dragon Ishin! now released worldwide. Maybe I can even thrash Edo-period rascals with antediluvian bicycles! Surprisingly, I was made aware that in February Soleil (who took me with Valkyrie Elysium positively surprised) with Wanted-Dead unleashing an over-the-top action title that mixes gunplay and melee combat, which I always find very appealing. Otherwise, I’m quite excited to browse through the halls of Hogwarts and see what developer Avalanche Software (not to be confused with Avalanche Studios) really delivers in terms of play.

[SONSTIGES] Musically and literarily nothing new is emerging at the moment, but my memory dug out an old disc, which I will be streaming up and down again in February. Unfortunately, it flew so under the radar at the time that this album by the project names Circle of illusion stayed. If you like genre mishmash, you should check out the progressive metal concept album like I did Jeremiah with its disco vibes and other mood swings.

Benjamin Brown
[FILME/SERIEN] Otto, I think it’s good, but I’ll hardly see a film about a man with that name in the cinema, although I’ve seen a few of the Ulm director’s films Marc Forsterno, that’s not the cap type of Lena Meyer-Landrut, liked it very much. Even with TV series restarts, there is nothing that I absolutely have to see (immediately). Last I saw The wild nineties on Netflix. I liked the previous one the wild seventies really a lot – although I don’t like Topher Grace (since Spider-Man 3 even less), I bought the entire series on DVD at the time. But I expected a lot more from a sequel! Apart from a part of the guest appearances of the main characters of the original series, that was already very thin. In any case, the series shouldn’t survive long if it continues like this.

[SPIELE/BRETTSPIELE] Whether Warner with the several times postponed Hogwarts legacy gets stuck in the end or the game will even turn out really well is certainly one of the most exciting questions in February. The game will still sell like crazy, because even without Harry, Hermine and Co., the brand is still going strong today. There are two other things I am most looking forward to though. For one there would be Octopath Traveler 2, whose predecessor might not have been a JRPG for eternity, but an excellent representative of the genre , which I really enjoyed playing. Secondly, and that’s what I’m looking forward to the most, coming out at the end of the month Playstation VR2. I don’t know yet if the time has finally come for virtual reality games, i.e. the maturity for the mass market. But since, apart from the graphic quality, the “normal” games felt more and more on the spot, VR games still have a lot of untapped potential that the developers just have to use. Let’s see if that might even be possible at the start of the new Sony VR headset, I’m very positive about this.

Michael Stallion
[FILME/SERIEN] Yes, I’m a friend and fan of Marvel underdog Antman! I admit it. So I’m looking forward to it quantum mania, which hits theaters on February 17, ushering in MCU Phase 5. Netflix probably doesn’t stand a chance, but I’ll watch the second season of on Disney Plus in February Starwars-Offshoot The Bad Batch and will me up The Last of Us overthrow. Although this started in January, I haven’t had a chance to take a look yet.

GAMES/BOARD GAMES]I have so little time! So why are there relatively many time wasters coming out in February that I would like to play? I haven’t finished Fire Emblem Engage yet! Coming out on February 14th Labyrinth of Galleria: The Moon Society, an upbeat dungeon crawler with a classic 90-degree dungeon design, furious characters and great item upgrade features. More retro is hardly possible. Just 10 days later, two JRPG heavyweights hit the shops. This is where it gets really difficult with private time management: Octopath Traver 2 is practically mandatory. and Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End and the Secret Key not only wins the award for the longest game name in February, but is a real affair of the heart – the second part of the Atelier Ryza series was already a lot of fun. Last but not least, the new (and pre-ordered) Sony VR glasses should also be included in February Horizon Call often the Mountain arrive.

[SONSTIGES] Have you checked out my play list for February? There isn’t much time left to read. Maybe an old comic or a newspaper on the toilet. Otherwise the Kindle stays cold.

[FILME/SERIEN] It’s time to catch up on some flicks that I either didn’t think were cinema-worthy purely in terms of price or that appeared to only be seen across town on Wednesdays at 1.30pm during their Lichtspielhaus release window – Black Adam, The Menu and Triangle of Sadness are therefore pending. Furthermore, over the holidays I found out how I can make extras palatable to the Plex server on my home Synology beyond the main film. So for the last few weeks, the optical drives that were left in the house have been whirring to load the Extended Edition content from Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit prepare!

[SPIELE/BRETTSPIELE] Appears at the end of the month The Settlers: New Alliances. Rejoicing… might not be the top verb in my association list. Let’s just say, I’m curious to see whether the cassandren’s calls are right or whether, after such a long development period, a core of indestructible game mechanics has remained. Same genre and almost the same retro factor: Pharaoh: A New Era appears mid-month. I was in a hurry when it came out – five years ago! (Any different calculation results of your calendar are obviously wrong) – the Caesar– and Zeus-Games from the Impressions house some more. Nevertheless, after the mostly very successful Nebuchadnezzar, I am actually reliable in terms of the viability of the classic game principle even a few (few) months after the original release.

[FILME/SERIEN] I look forward to every episode of The Last of Us in the coming weeks. So far I really like the series. The numerous announced projects can be attributed to this BioShock, Fallout, Mass Effect and Co. like to cut a slice. Otherwise, I really want the award-winning film from February 20th Everything Everywhere All At Once catch up with Michelle Yeoh and “Shorty” on WOW.

[SPIELE/BRETTSPIELE] While January already delivered so many exciting new releases that I couldn’t keep up, February adds another one. I’m definitely looking forward to it the most Hogwarts legacy. It’s just taken far too long for us to get a triple A production for the Harry Potter universe that could actually capture the magic of the books and movies.

Before that, however, I will first in SpellForce: Conquest of Eo play in. After Fantasy General 2 I’m in good spirits that Jan Wagner’s team can once again deliver a nice, turn-based strategy game. And then the story shooter will appear in February Atomic Heart, who looks outrageously good. Hopefully the inner values are right too! I’ll save all other mentions, there’s no time for more anyway.

[SONSTIGES] We use the school holidays in February to have a really nice two-week vacation with the whole family. We sweetened the holidays around Christmas with a stubborn cold. So we can make good use of the days off.
