WoW: Blizzard brings a new, big feature in the morning – must turn it off again in the afternoon

World of Warcraft (WoW) launched a new feature that players have been waiting for for a long time: the trading post should give players something to do, and make cosmetics fans happy. Embarrassing for Blizzard: The feature had to be disabled after just a few hours. It was already broken in the morning and got progressively worse as the day progressed.

What is this feature?

• The trading post is the new feature of patch 10.0.5 in WoW: Dragonflight. It opened early today on February 1st.
• At the trading post you can complete tasks and receive “merchant currency” – with them you can unlock a number of cosmetic rewards such as toys, pets, mounts, transmog items.
• The offer will then change monthly.

Problems surfaced early in the morning

what went wrong Early in the morning, around half past nine, a Blizzard community manager called in English speaking forum and said: There were problems with item refunds in the trading post.

Therefore, this feature, the refund of items, has been switched off. Also the support team will not be able to refund items that are sold.

They said they would resolve the issue and report back when all items are refundable, including those items that were purchased now during the period when they are temporarily non-refundable.

In the afternoon the trading post is completely closed

Then what went wrong? Unfortunately, it didn’t stop there. At 3:51 p.m. there was a blue post in German Forum about WoW: The Trading Post has been temporarily shut down while “Various Issues” are being investigated.

Some have already spent currency but have not received any items. That is also being investigated.

For critics of Blizzard, this can again serve as a negative example of the fact that there is not much left of the “old Blizzard”.

For a number of years, after many employees have left or been laid off, the once glorious development studio seems to have been somehow stuck with the worm.
