We are ringing in the era of the remake, because as we can see, especially with the Dragon Islands, the Blizzard developers are far from storing all design ideas in the poison cupboard!

Our message from the editors: Dragonflight takes off! With you too?
If anyone was still in doubt that Blizzard developers would deviate from their ambitious patch plan for World of Warcraft in 2023, then those concerns were pulverized with the release of 10.0.5. Although…well, given that the week following the update’s release, there were some critical issues with the trading post that required it to be temporarily disabled, perhaps the initial mini-patch joy was muted. Regardless, the folks running the online role-playing game have delivered for now. And they want to follow up right away, namely with patch 10.0.7, which you can then count on in March or April at the latest. It immediately provides a “new” area that you can explore. Assuming you haven’t taken a lap with the Caller yet, this new zone is the max level replica of the Forbidden Island, which in turn is the starting area for the newest class. Which story is told there is currently unknown, but after the first victory over Raszageth it can be assumed that the history of the primalists will continue. We heard that there are still some Hansels who want to make life difficult for our beloved dragons. These are all positive signs of a new WoW boom!
The servers are full!
The fact that Dragonflight is possibly the success that Blizzard bosses have longed for can also be assumed elsewhere. Although Dragonflight was plagued by bugs and problems in the first few weeks, there are still cautiously optimistic assumptions that the number of active players has increased well. Sure, we don’t have any official numbers to back up these assumptions, because the developers haven’t released them for years. After the release of the expansion, the Blizzardians didn’t even publish a press release à la “best-selling addon for what feels like ages, but at least since Shadowlands”. But if you look up Websites like MMOStats over, then it can be seen that the monthly average daily player numbers in September 2022 were estimated at just over two million. At Dragonflight Peak time with the release at five! In January 2023, four million players will probably regularly choose the trip to Azeroth. If these numbers remain stable, then nothing stands in the way of a rosier future for the soon to be 19-year-old World of Warcraft. how do you see it? Are you logging back in regularly?
