Back 4 Blood is no longer getting new content, Turtle Rock is moving to the next project

Developer Turtle Rock will no longer release any new content for the co-op zombie shooter Back 4 Blood.

The reason for this is to focus on a brand new project.

No capacity

Back 4 Blood was released in October 2021, since then three paid expansions and numerous updates for the game have been released.

The fact that Back 4 Blood is no longer receiving any new content is also due to the fact that, given the new project, there is no longer any capacity for it.

“We have shared an amazing adventure beyond the walls of Fort Hope”, is it[called. “This phase of our war against the Ridden is now coming to an end.”

“Turtle Rock Studios is actually pretty small for a studio that makes AAA games. We don’t have enough people to keep working on Back 4 Blood while we make another game – yes, another game!”

Which of course doesn’t mean that you can’t keep playing Back 4 Blood. The game, which is currently available via Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium, or its servers will continue to operate.

“Even though things will be a little quieter for the foreseeable future, we promise we’ll be back, bigger, bolder and better than ever!”
