Dead Space Remake: Best in class among remakes

According to a new graphics and performance analysis, the recently released Dead Space Remake is among the best-in-class reboots.

Last week, the remake of the survival horror classic Dead Space was released for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. Digital Foundry is now comparing the new edition with the original from 2008 based on the versions for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 3 respectively.

John Linneman takes a close look at various aspects such as newly added features, level design, graphic improvements, image quality, sound and lighting and explains their influence on the gameplay based on the first hour of play.

The tech expert concludes that while Dead Space Remake has its minor flaws, overall it’s one of the best-in-class remakes.
