Resident Evil 4 Remake: Rain effect worries some fans

Many fans are already looking forward to this Resident Evil 4 Remakethe on Mar 24 saw the light of day, but new gameplay has now literally rained out some moods.

The folks at Game Informer were able to share an exclusive new video on their YouTube channel showing some fresh gameplay scenes. That’s where it first appears rain effect on, which should certainly underpin the dark atmosphere in the new edition of Resident Evil 4. On Reddit and Twitter, the bad weather is currently creating a bad weather mood for some.

Resident Evil 4 Remake: It’s raining, it’s raining…

Both under the YouTube video and on other social media, some fans are skeptical about the rain shown. Many find the effect too strong, complaining about screen chaos or an overloaded field of view. Above all on twitter some compare the shown rain with the Definitive Edition of GTA San Andreas.

When criticizing, however, it should be borne in mind that screenshots and videos on Reddit are often compressed and therefore deviate from the original presentation. Also point to that some commenters to take the wind out of the sails of the skeptics and allay any concerns that have arisen.

Changes to the original: side quests and quick time events

There Resident Evil 4 is an incredibly popular title, especially among franchise fans, many of course hope for a faithful implementation with polished graphics. Developer Capcom is committed to this, but a few changes have also been planned, as has been leaked over the past few weeks and months.

Probably the most drastic changes include the removal of quick-time events and the addition of new side quests.
