The recreation of Ark’s island map in Unreal Engine 5.1 comes from hobbyist developer and Youtuber Greg Coulthard. Although it is only a fan replica, it looks very true to the original. The Unreal Engine is constantly being developed at Epic Games and is now at version number 5.1. During development, Epic was particularly important to be able to create open worlds perfectly. That would be of particular importance for a remaster of Ark with the Unreal Engine 5.1. But UE5 will also find use in Ark 2, the sequel.
