70 euros as the Nintendo standard? Switch games could get more expensive…

Currently the standard price is from new games for the Nintendo Switch at 59.99 euros or $59.99 in the US. But apparently you have to soon pay significantly more. At least there is now some evidence that Nintendo a price increase plans for the near future.

Switch games soon noticeably more expensive?

The stumbling block for the current speculation was an update The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom product page in Nintendo eShop USA. Suddenly there was a new selling price at $69.99 lay and thus well above the usual standard for new releases. The price indication disappeared a short time later from the product side, but that’s not all.

As soon as the new retail price was leaked in this way, numerous major retailers stopped their pre-order phase for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Like the Twitter user and insider “Benji Sales” reported, among others Best Buy, Gamestop and even Amazon. It could well be possible that these dealers have their respective Update product pages for the action-adventure as well and shortly with the new price put back online. Tonight is the latest edition of Nintendo Direct, maybe there is one corresponding announcement.
