Hogwarts Legacy: Certain phobias could be a problem
If you want to play Hogwarts Legacy but suffer from a phobia of spiders and snakes, you could run into problems. Because the action role-playing game probably doesn’t offer any separate accessibility options in this regard.
Hogwarts Legacy is finally out for Deluxe Edition users, but players afraid of spiders and snakes may have to stay away from the title. Because, as our colleagues from PC Games report based on their test of the action role-playing game, Hogwarts Legacy is by no means suitable for people with a correspondingly pronounced phobia.
Spiders lurk in both the open game world and main story levels
Because in Hogwarts Legacy
spiders play an important role. They pop up at various points in the open world, but also appear in key scenes in the main story. There we have to crawl, among other things, through extensive cave systems and narrow crevices in which crawling creatures are just teeming. In addition, there are some huge spiders in the game that burn and, in the event of their impending death, run straight towards the player.
The problem with this: Currently there is no accessibility option in Hogwarts Legacy that phobics could activate in the game options. This makes the title unplayable for people who are terrified of spiders. When asked by a fan whether Hogwarts Legacy offered appropriate accessibility features, Warner Bros. support promised on Twitter that they would forward this request to the development team. So it would be quite conceivable that the team behind Hogwarts Legacy will deliver a corresponding function with a future patch. Until then, however, it means: Close your eyes and through – or leave Hogwarts Legacy and the Hogwarts Magic School on the side for the time being.
