The mysterious doors with animal symbols can be found throughout Hogwarts Castle. If you select one of the doors, a number puzzle including the animal symbols is revealed. You use the question mark blocks to the left and right of the door, which you should set to the correct animal badge. You can find a hint on how to solve all the doors in the library extension. Travel here to the Flea Flame of the Divination Classroom. Take the passage to the attic on the right and follow the path on the left through the beams. Solution: Simple question mark tips

The clue above gives you a hydra, the number 2 and the simple question mark. There is a large 9 in the middle. The sum of the three corners of the triangle must add up to the number in the middle. The textbook page provides the clue: The hydra is assigned the number 3. So the equation to be solved is: 3 + 2 + ? = 9. So you look for the animal that is assigned to the number 4 and turn the simple question mark on the left to the corresponding symbol: the owl.

Solution: Double question mark tips

The double question mark is easier to solve because you don’t have to decode an animal symbol first. The equation is here 0 + 1 + ?? = 4. So you look up the animal symbol (here the hydra) associated with the 3 and put it on the right of the block with the double question marks. Then you open the puzzle door.

If you have set both symbols correctly on the left and right, the door will open.
