Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom apparently brings back 36-year-old bosses from Part 1

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the official name of the sequel to Zelda Breath of the Wild.

In Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Link seems to meet a very special, terrifying old acquaintance.

The new trailer for Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is packed with details that can easily be overlooked. Like the two enemy types from the old days, for example, who are apparently making a comeback in the next part. While one of them comes from Ocarina of Time and its sequels, the other was probably even seen in the very first Zelda.

may we introduce Gleeok from The Legend of Zelda

Easy to miss: The Zelda trailer reveals the enemies we’re talking about in two places. But it happens so fast that you don’t necessarily notice it when you first look at it.

This is Gleeok: The large, two- to three-headed creature that stands on the bridge and can apparently spit fire reminds many fans of the old acquaintance. He appears as a boss in the very first The Legend of Zelda (NES) from 1987.

After that, die-hard Zelda fans had to compete against the two- to four-headed dragon a few more times. As a rule, cutting off his heads helps against Gleeok, even if they then continue to cause trouble on their own and completely detached (via: Zelda Fandom Wiki).

It’s not certain yet, that’s actually Gleeok in the trailer, but the odds aren’t bad. After all, the predecessor Zelda Breath of the Wild was very much based on the very first Zelda. It would be good if Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brought back one of the most famous bosses.

ReDead are returning too? Another unpleasant contemporary can also only be seen for a very short time. Apparently we’re dealing with the skinny, skeletal-like zombies we’re dating Zelda Ocarina of Time know. Here you can see the figure with the wooden mask on the right:

The body is barely visible, but the mask and the brightly shining eyes are: Will the ReDead zombies return in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom?

These zombies make the area unsafe, especially in Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask, but also in The Wind Waker and Tri Force Heroes. Although they are blind, they can still paralyze us if we get too close to them as a link after they notice us.
