The days of the eShop on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U are almost numbered.
However, this does not apply to any credit you may still have. Here you still have time to transfer it.
You still have that much time
As Nintendo announced, after the end of the eShop on 3DS and Wii U you have until March 2024 to transfer your credit there to a Nintendo Account.
Both shops will be closed on March 27, 2023. To continue using existing credit, you must link your Nintendo Network ID (for 3DS and Wii U) to a Nintendo Account. You can then use the credit to buy Switch games.
Anyone who does not transfer their remaining credit by March 2024 will lose it.
If this is still the case for you, you should take care of it soon. And if you’re not sure, there’s no harm in checking.
Reminder: as of 27/03/2023, purchases on #eShop for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS will be discontinued.
Until March 2024, you can merge your unused Nintendo eShop balance to your Nintendo Account, so that it can be used on #NintendoSwitch.
