Deep Rock Galactic Developer Reveals Publishing Branch: Ghost Ship Publishing. In addition, they want to present five new games soon.

The indie developer Ghost Ship Games has announced an important expansion with the launch of a new business area: Ghost Ship Publishing. This expansion follows the tremendous growth of debut title, co-op shooter Deep Rock Galactic, and is the next stage in the company’s evolution following its acquisition by Embracer Group.

With a slew of titles set for release later this year, Ghost Ship Publishing aims to establish itself as the go-to place for independent video games in the fast-growing Danish games industry and beyond.

Søren Lundgaard, CEO of Ghost Ship Games, says about the launch of Ghost Ship Publishing: “Founding a publishing company is a way for us to give something back to the industry and attract both the Danish games scene and other small developers like us around the world support financially. Our goal is to help other developers with funding and marketing know-how while helping them build a solid business. Building a publishing brand is a passionate project for us and we are very excited to make it a reality.”

Ghost Ship’s debut game, Deep Rock Galactic, is an award-winning title played by a community of over 10 million users thanks to a careful open development approach and flexible design philosophy.

This will also be the premise for future titles released under the Ghost Ship Publishing banner. Ghost Ship Publishing has made a name for itself as a community-oriented company and will support developers who want to develop games through open communication and with the gaming experience as a central priority.

Mikkel Martin Pedersen, CCO of Ghost Ship Games, continues, “Founding a publishing company is a natural next step for Ghost Ship. We love games and the success of Deep Rock Galactic has allowed us to help other developers create their games. We can’t wait to get started.”

Ghost Ship Publishing will announce upcoming titles on March 2nd as part of the Deep Rock Galactic 5th Anniversary Livestream.
