A number of former Respawn employees founded the development studio Wildlight Entertainment together.

A number of former employees of Titanfall and Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment have joined forces and co-founded the new development studio Wildlight Entertainment.

The studio is led by Chad Grenier, the former game director of Apex Legends who also previously helped develop the two Titanfall games and the original Modern Warfare series.

Also on board are former Modern Warfare and Titanfall designer Mohammad Alavi, who is said to have last worked on a later discontinued Titanfall single player title, former Apex Legends lead designer Carlos Peneda, design director Jason McCord, art director Jose Zavala, Environment Art Director Robert Tuabe and Lead Technical Artist Michael Cook.

On the official website of the team, which is already working on an unannounced project and is still looking for reinforcement, describes itself and its goals as follows:

“We are a new, fully funded entertainment studio focused on creating big, bold, original game universes of epic quality and scope. We’ve been quietly working on a new IP for some time, and while it’s going to be a while before we can say more, we’re beyond excited for what’s to come.”
