Hogwarts Legacy: Multiplayer Mod in Early Access
Hogwarts Legacy is currently a pure single player title. But modders offer a multiplayer mod called HogWarp. Multiplayer is now in Early Access.
February 10th is Hogwarts Legacy a role-playing game about the Wizarding World has been released, which takes the players into the legendary magic world. Harry Potter fans in particular have longed for the game from publisher Warner Bros. So far, however, the characters can only explore the beautiful world including the famous magic school in single players. For Valentine’s Day, a prototype for a multiplayer mod saw the light of day. Now the modder team Skyrim Together has one Multiplayer mod released for Hogwarts Legacy.
Multiplayer mode in Hogwarts Legacy: HogWarp currently subject to a fee
The multiplayer mod HogWarp is currently in Early Access, so it has not yet been fully developed. If you want, you can buy the EA version from Patreon. To do this, you have to sign up for a membership, which costs 10 euros a month, but offers access to the modders’ Discord channel.
In HogWarp up to eight players can be together in the game world. The focus of the mod is “co-op and role-playing”, with the developers emphasizing that you don’t want to create your own content. Hogwarts legacy uses the same version as Stray, Unreal Engine 4.27.2, allowing developers to incorporate their insights. At some point there should also be an open source, free version of HogWarp if the rights holders don’t complain about it. However, it is unclear how the rights holders of Hogwarts Legacy will react to the mod. Maybe the developer studio Avalanche Software from Utah will take care of the missing multiplayer.
